Despite their profound impact, many Black designers have not received due recognition. Pioneers like Ann Lowe, who designed Jacqueline Kennedy's wedding gown, and Willi Smith, a streetwear innovator, have shaped American fashion. Contemporary designers such as Telfar Clemens and LaQuan Smith continue this legacy, yet the broader fashion narrative often overlooks their contribution
